Requirements and Responsibilities For IT Change Management Senior Manager |
Oversees and plans IT change management initiatives that enable desired organizational change with minimum disruption of business processes. Implements policies and procedures to analyze business processes and IT change plans and evaluate and assess organizational readiness. Manages the planning and implementation of IT change projects to modify and improve an organization's IT systems, applications, or processes. Follows Organizational Change Management (OCM) methodologies to conduct assessments of the current state, analyze stakeholders, identify risks, and establish the goals and milestones of changes. Reviews testing and validates IT changes before deployment to ensure they are implemented successfully and meet the organization's standards and requirements. Implements detailed project plans to manage each phase's timelines, tasks, resources, and dependencies. Collaborates with stakeholders and develops a working knowledge of existing business processes to understand and assess the impact of changes and contribute to transition planning. Administers post-implementation monitoring processes to measure the results of changes and make necessary course adjustments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. |
