Requirements and Responsibilities For IT Change Management Director
Directs, designs, and plans IT change management initiatives that enable desired organizational change with minimum disruption of business processes. Develops policies and procedures to analyze business processes and IT change plans and evaluate and assess organizational readiness. Provides strategic oversight to the planning and implementation of IT change projects to modify and improve an organization's IT systems, applications, or processes. Implements Organizational Change Management (OCM) methodologies to conduct assessments of the current state, analyze stakeholders, identify risks, and establish the goals and milestones of changes. Oversees the testing and validation of IT changes before deployment to ensure changes are implemented successfully and meet the organization's standards and requirements. Designs detailed project plans to manage each phase's timelines, tasks, resources, and dependencies. Develops post-implementation monitoring processes to measure the results of changes and make necessary course adjustments. Maintains a working knowledge of existing business processes to understand the impact of changes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
