Requirements and Responsibilities For Pharmacy Technician I
Assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
