| Requirements and Responsibilities For Provider Systems Manager |
| Manages a network's database system to track and maintain healthcare provider data. Implements policies, procedures, and standards to ensure database integrity and regulatory compliance. Oversees provider enrollment and trains and supports new providers on system use and reporting practices and expectations. Monitors system performance and reviews testing results to ensure adequate functionality and accuracy of data. Initiates and coordinates database improvement projects and liaises with IT to ensure system requirements are implemented effectively. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
