| Requirements and Responsibilities For SVP of Medical Device Engineering |
| Provides leadership, innovation, and oversight to the analysis and development of medical devices, equipment, or components. Oversees all medical device engineering activities within an organization. Develops and implements strategic plans, goals, and objectives for a medical device engineering department in alignment with the organization's mission and goals. Designs policies and procedures to ensure all medical device engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet required specifications and quality standards. Collaborates with functional leaders to identify problems, needs, or potential products and ensure alignment and coordination across the organization. Plans and forecasts the department budget and researches cost-saving technologies to optimize business performance and drive profitability. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head. |
