| Requirements and Responsibilities For Technical Sales Senior Manager |
| Leads a team that sells technical services, products, and systems. Determines sales targets and goals for the team. Develops comprehensive sales plans and forecasts to identify and produce a steady pipeline of prospects. Creates strategic sales plans by staying current on market developments, industry trends, and competitor activity. Ensures the team delivers compelling technical presentations that drive sales. Utilizes deep technical acumen to educate the team on products, competitors, and prospects. Manages contract negotiations. Manages relationships with key customers. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to utilize customer insights and market intelligence to contribute to the product roadmap. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. |
