Requirements and Responsibilities For VP of Benefits |
Plans and directs activities related to employee benefit policies, objectives, and initiatives. Develops and administers all benefits programs designed to attract and retain employees within budgetary constraints. Monitors trends and provides recommendations for benefit plan improvements. Ensures compliance with governmental regulations and requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). Typically reports to top management. Manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
