| Requirements and Responsibilities For Biopharma Process Development Supervisor |
| Supervises a team of scientists who design and develop processes for the manufacturing of experimental and active drugs. Monitors the physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of pharmaceutical ingredients to ensure efficiency and safety. Reviews, troubleshoots, and resolves issues to ensure adherence to formulary specifications. Analyzes and interprets results and makes recommendations for process improvement. May lead more complex projects. Stays current on emerging technologies and trends within the biopharma industry. Requires a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. |
