| Requirements and Responsibilities For SVP of Clinical Information |
| Establishes strategic direction, policies, and procedures for the organization's clinical information systems with the goal of improving clinical operations. Guides the selection, development, and implementation of systems designed to effectively manage medical information and meet the needs of patient care staff. Coordinates between IT and clinical staff in order to ensure effective integration of clinical systems with other institutional applications. Requires a master's degree. Typically reports to top management. Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes/implements overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Typically requires 10+ years of progressive leadership experience. Has extensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
