Requirements and Responsibilities For Top Labor Relations Executive
Oversees the design, implementation and maintenance of an organization's labor relations program and policies. Represents the organization in labor-management relations, including contract negotiations and arbitration cases. Administers and interprets collective bargaining agreements, and establishes policies for reporting and addressing grievances. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. Typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.
