| Requirements and Responsibilities For SVP of Government Program Development |
| Leads the enterprise strategy and executive oversight of all benefits and products related to government programs, including CHIP, FEHB, and TRICARE. Directs the design, growth, and integration of government-sponsored programs to advance enterprise objectives and regulatory compliance. Partners with clinical, actuarial, network, and operations leadership to define program models, benefit strategies, and value-based care approaches. Establishes multi-year strategic roadmaps and evaluates federal and state policy, procurement, and market dynamics to guide investment. Oversees cross-functional readiness for program launches, bids, and contract implementations across government segments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes/implements overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Typically requires 10+ years of progressive leadership experience. Has extensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
